Los Angeles based artist, Yvonne Mecialis, has always had a passion for science-fiction and fantasy. She showed a natural talent for art at an early age. At first she worked in various media incuding oil paints, water color, charcoal, amd acrylic. After receiving her BFA in Illustration from CSU Long Beach, she began using an airbrush. Now this is her primary painting tool. Yvonne's work reflects sensuality in industrial settings. She is continually influenced by the mechanized world in which she lives. Since the summer of 1998, Yvonne has been lending her airbrush talent to the world of custom painting. She has painted custom Harley-Davidson motorcyles as well as helmets and guitars. Yvonne's art has been seen in various magazines including: Easy Rider, Big Twin, VQ, Los Angeles Film & Music, and Heavy Metal. One of her paintings also adorned the entrance Kiosk at the Lollapalooza concert in 1997.
