"The human figure is a divine form that
is capable of of expressing an entire range of emotions
and ideas. When it is depicted in art , it acts as a
doorway to certain energies that invoke in the viewer
various emotions. These emotions come into the world
and exist as part of the world."
John Cope is an illustration artist who resides in South
Pasadena. His work is influenced by yoga and dance.
He likes to work with live models for many of his larger
pieces. His current work includes two large wood panels
of modern day fire dancers framed in a hand carved wood
border.
